Sam Lustig is a composer, producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, who has written and produced music for orchestras, big bands, rock bands, theatre, short films, television and more. He enjoys writing in a broad range of musical styles, and honed his skills at the California Institute of the Arts, where he studied orchestration, film scoring, jazz and world music. After a number of years spent composing for theatre, producing, arranging and doing session work, he recently ventured back into scoring for television/films, and in 2014 composed the score for the animated short "Steadfast Stanley"- winner of Best Animation in LandShut Film festival, Toronto Short Film Festival, and an audience award at the New York International Children's Film Festival. In 2018 he joined Jake Kaufman and the team at Mint Potion Studios, contributing music to the Cartoon Network shows 'O.K. KO!: Let's Be Heroes' (seasons 2-3) and 'Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart'. He was recently asked to deliver several lectures at Chapman University on his scoring work and storytelling with music, and currently has limited slots available for private lessons in Composition/Songwriting/Film scoring.
